For the booking and use of the holiday apartment

1. Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between the guest and Kristopher Wiegand, regarding the rental of a holiday apartment in Basel-Stadt, Switzerland.

2. Booking & Contract

Conclusion A booking becomes binding once it is confirmed by the host. By making a booking, the guest agrees to these Terms and Conditions. Bookings can be made via third-party platforms (e.g. Airbnb, Booking.com) or directly.

3. Payment

The rental amount is due at the time of booking or as agreed. For direct bookings, the total amount must be paid in advance unless otherwise arranged.

4. Cancellation & Withdrawal

Cancellation policies depend on the conditions valid at the time of booking (e.g. those of Airbnb).

For direct bookings, the following applies:

• Cancellation up to 14 days before arrival: 100% refund
• Cancellation 13 days or less before arrival: no refund

5. Arrival & Departure

Check-in: from 3:00 PM (self-check-in)

Check-out: by 11:00 AM

Deviations may be possible upon prior agreement.

6. Use of the Apartment

The apartment may only be used by the persons listed in the booking. Parties and smoking in the apartment are not permitted. The guest agrees to treat the apartment with care and to report any damages immediately.

7. Liability

The host is not liable for loss or damage to the guest’s personal belongings. The guest is fully liable for any damage to the apartment caused by negligence or intentional misconduct.

8. House Rules

The house rules, provided digitally to the guest, are part of these Terms and Conditions and are binding.

9. BaselCard

Each guest receives the BaselCard for the duration of their stay, provided that all required personal data (including details of all travelers) has been submitted completely.

10. Data Protection

Guest data is stored solely for the purposes required by law (e.g. registration obligations) and will not be shared with third parties unless legally required.

11. Jurisdiction & Applicable

Law Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Basel-Stadt, Switzerland.
